What is Bevelite?

Bevelite is a single pane beveled insert that has all the prisms, angles and refraction of beveled glass. Bevelite is installed into a windows frame as the glazing material for a garage door.

What material is it made of?

Bevelite is made from  high-grade acrylic 1/4" sheets that are rigid, lightweight, and weather resistant. Bevelite is camed with a brass or antique lead adhesive tape fir an elegant appearance.

What care is required?

Bavelite can be routinely polished with a good quality car wax.

How do I clean the glass?

Clean with a soft cloth using mild soap and water. Do not use Windex or Ammoniated cleaners to clean the serface.

I'm worried about security, I don't want windows in my garage door!

Burglers do not usually enter thru the windows of garage doors, the windows and doors in your home are a much easier target! They may look into your garage to see if you have a car at home. If this is your concern, ask your garage door dealer to install an obscure glazing material such as dark tinted glass, obscure plexi-glass, or even to just paint the back side of the glass black.
